Snapshots have no compression of the backup data and cannot perform application-aware backups. This results in very large backup data and database restores often experience problems. For larger databases, recovery operations are often very time consuming due to extra DBA intervention to ensure application consistency resulting in missed max RTO 8 Hours & RPO 24 Hours as requirement. The Company observed performance improvement on backup operations due to incremental and synthetic full feature and functionality helping customer achieve their required RPO and RTO they required. Backups are very important for an organization to recover any loss of data due to hardware or software failure, data corruption, or a human-caused event, such as a malicious attack (virus or malware), or accidental deletion of data, etc. Feature Compression and can perform application-aware backup (For example Database).
